25067 2001-11-21 04:58:00 Hi Alan,

Recent files section in WMP?

I don't use this program often enough to know off hand.

Where abouts is this recent files section? ie, where can I find it on my computer so that I can try and solve your problem.

Do you mean therecent files list in ME, not just the media player?

hope I can help.

25069 2001-11-21 09:00:00 To delete the recent files list from Media Player in ME:

Run Regedit (Start > Run > Regedit)
then find this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\P layer\RecentFileList

then delete the list in the right-hand column.

Also there might be another key which you could delete the list out of:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer \Player\RecentFileList

I hope this works for you. Be very careful using Regedit... don't touch anything else in there if you don't know what you're doing :) you've been warned!
