| 25063 | 2001-11-21 00:45:00 | I installed IE 6 onto my Dell PIII-500 running Windows ME, but found it was too buggy, with randomm error messages appearing. So I decided to unistall it, and revert back to IE 5.5. But after it automatically restarted, the system stops loading Windows, but doesn't crash. I don't have access to the task bar or the desktop icons, but I can see the wallpaper. Alt-Ctrl-Del works and the only program running is 'Wmexe'. Does anyone have any ideas to fix this problem without a clean install? |

That is how I did mine, and it just reverted back to the previous IE. I would suggest that you download another copy of IE5.5, and if that dosen't fix your problem, I would download the PC Pitstop program (go to Google) It will test run your computer, tell you what the problem is, and do a fix for you. Hope this helps, RINGO | Guest (0) | ||
