25113 2001-11-21 04:41:00 Is it possible to copy a DVD (which I own) onto my HDD so I can burn this to a CD or DVD. Guest (0)
25114 2001-11-21 05:02:00 Andrew, hi.

Yes you can, but to copy it to your HD you will need a DVD-ROM. To make a copy of the disk, you will need a DVD-writer of some description (there are several formats at the moment) These also cost an arm and a leg. Unless you are copying lots of DVD's then until prices come down it is cheaper to just buy any additional copies of the DVD you need.

Sorry for the bad news - don't worry though, prices will soon come down.

25115 2001-11-21 05:16:00 At the moment it would be much cheaper to burn it onto a couple of cd's, in the VCD format than to put onto a DVD, unless you've already got a DVD burner that it. Also there is probably some form of copy-protection to get around.

Good luck
