25330 2001-11-23 21:50:00 Interesting having a read of this thread.

Shows how far windows and computing has come.

Windows 95 can be installed in as little as 50 to 60 meg, in around 15 min.

98 takes up around 200 to 300 meg and takes 15 to 20min.

Millenium took a whopping 500+ meg and around 30 min to install.

And now we have Windows XP, don't expect to get any change from 2 gig and have an hour or so spare to wait for it to install.

Ah yes maybe the geek of the week prize should be going to Seattle.

Maybe it could be a Linux pack :-)
or some more shares for Mr Gates in Seagate.

25333 2001-11-24 00:09:00 Just like the Highlander. There can be only one: Grahame Lees Guest (0)
25334 2001-11-24 01:01:00 I don't think I'd go as far as saying someone who's addicted to Quake as being a geek... but I'd tend towards people who not only remember all the dos commands, but who prefer to be using those dos commands...

and perhaps a slight Steve Urkel look :)
