25536 2001-11-25 09:54:00 Is it possible to bypass the password and logon box with Windows XP? I have no need for that security on my home computer and would like to simply arrive at the desktop after switching on. Guest (0)
25537 2001-11-25 10:25:00 Go into control panel click on User accounts and select change an account then change my password. Done! Guest (0)
25538 2001-11-25 10:52:00 If you have more than one user account, delete all but one of them. Then if you have a password on that account, remove the password. All done in the Control Panel/User Accounts.
Cheers.

go to windows update (XP page) by now one of the update packages is 'powertoys for windows XP ' one of those powertoys is tweakui for for XP. tweakui allows you to automatically logon on a user at start up amongst many more things. it is a must download.
