| 26011 | 2001-11-29 11:26:00 | MSCONFIG gives visibility and management of files launched when Windows (I'm using WIN98)starts up. A check box deselected seems to revert back to its former selected status upon reboot. Is there any way to remove these files from the startup routines? | Guest (0) | ||

USUAL WARNING: Back up Registry before use - but *don't* muck around in the Registry unless you know what you're doing. Cheers!!! e_ |

It allows you to remove programs in startup. If they still keep appearing, tell us which one it is. I had that happen to me a couple of months ago, and it turned out to be a (harmless) virus that kept loading up... the only way to remove it was to boot into safe-mode and delete it using RegCleaner from there. |
