26332 2001-12-03 00:59:00 In the December issue of Internet Magazine Stephen Ballantyne suggested a way to find out the date of update of Web Pages using 'javascript:alert(document.lastModified)'.
I cant get it to work. I get a date, but it is the same for every web page! This would be really useful and would be an enhancement that could be put on the Toolbar.
Am I doing it wrong? Is there another way to find out when the Page was released?

26333 2001-12-03 02:42:00 ...if you have the Internet Explorer Web Accessories package installed [a free download from Microsoft, URL provided below] the following will work:

Right click screen in Web page > click Document Tree > click 'Last Modified'.

Done.

If it's any consolation - i've never managed to make that 'javascript:alert' trick work either.

Cheers!!!
