26374 2001-12-03 07:11:00 Hi, I'm wanting to run some very compressed videos that are DivX (or avi).
The videos I want to watch are about the legnth of a movie and are only around 30MB in size.
Problem is I can't run them and also what kind of system would you really need for these?
Cheers.

26375 2001-12-03 07:47:00 Use the Google Search Engine. Type in DivX.All the answers you need will be on the sites on the 1st page. You need to download and install 'THE PLAYA' and you may need also need DivX codecs. Guest (0)
26376 2001-12-03 08:57:00 Actually, you will definately need the DivX codec if you havent already got it, and you dont have to install the Playa. The Playa is just one particular custom DivX player, but there are heaps out there, and even Media Player gives reasonable playback. Guest (0)
26377 2001-12-04 12:40:00 Go to www.divx.com and download the Codecs (v4 and if possible v3.6 as well) and then they should run fine in Windows Media player.

If not, you may need another codec called AngelPotion, which is a modified version of DivX... search google for angelpotion and then everything should work fine!
