| 26588 | 2001-12-05 04:47:00 | I have a Sierra 28800 PNP SQ3465 Modem.It runs well on local sites but if I try to download any thing from overseas it quite quickly grinds to a halt after a few feeble attempts.Can any one suggest extra settings or other info which may get it working better on overseas sites.Thanks Dave | Guest (0) | ||
| 26589 | 2001-12-05 05:23:00 | Can't see how your modem can tell the difference. If you are connecting through an ISP, the problem is between the ISP and the overseas sites, not in your modem. Even if you were direct dialling to overseas sites, your modem has to get only as far as your local telephone exchange. It's all digital from there. |
