26545 2001-12-04 23:43:00 Has anyone came across a site which supports resume for Linux. All the ftp sites/mirors that I can find don't and to keep a 56k download going for 100 plus hours is impossible. Thanks in anticipation... Guest (0)
26546 2001-12-05 00:21:00 All the ftp sites i've used support resuming.

Prehaps its a problem with the program you are using.

ftp://debian.paradise.net.nz supports it.

26547 2001-12-05 03:51:00 Why are you doing 100 hour downloads? Surely it's worth paying someone like xsolutions.co.nz or copyleft.co.nz or ??? for a CD. They have the fast connections, and can get you a CD for $10-15. Guest (0)
26548 2001-12-06 04:50:00 Two things to try, first your local poly of uni. I work at a polytech. Polytech's and univercities usually have really fat internet pipes. Took me about an hour per CD to download.

Second thing to try, I used a freeware download manager called DLexpert. Search Cnet.com or webgrid.co.uk for it
