| 26495 | 2001-12-04 09:09:00 | Got the bad-trans virus sitting on the H\D. Norton can't zap it 'cause it reckons that windows is using it... kernel32.exe and kdll.dll How to remove it ? Would going through DOS do it ? cheers |

| 26496 | 2001-12-04 10:17:00 | Had the same thing on Monday on a machine on the network. Mapped a drive to the C$ share (NT4 Workstation)and Scanned with Norton. Picked it up and deleted it. Machine seems to work ok and subsequent scan clean. regards Don |

| 26498 | 2001-12-04 11:35:00 | Symantec have a badtrans removal tool for download on their site. Download it to a floppy and run. Do not have any progs running at the same time. the two files you mentioned are ones badtrans creates. if the tool works and cleans your system, reboot to start the registry up fresh. hope this helps, glenn | Guest (0) | ||
