| 26666 | 2001-12-06 04:33:00 | I'm trying to decide weather to install it. I've downloaded it and read the user opinions at Cnet. The user opions are usually helpful but this time were mostly M$ haters and lovers spouting off. If anyone has any experience? My system is currently running 8.0a without problems. |

| 26668 | 2001-12-06 05:53:00 | i've had 8.1 running on a few pc's for the last month or two (prerelease) with out probs. if you have a high end machine you will need it to run a few games. for slow machines its proberly not worth the hassle. | Guest (0) | ||

| 26670 | 2001-12-06 07:35:00 | I got it mainly cause I heard that DX8 wasn't worth the hassle cause of HEAPS of bugs, but I haven't noticed any problems with either 8.0 or 8.1, so I don't know whether it was really worth the hassle :) I have had one game that required it though, so I had to get 8.0, but I can't remember what that was. |
