2012-02-26 00:07:00 | Hi, this is my first post here, Need support from people actually in NZ.. I tried to withdraw $177 NZD to my bank account from Paypal, I recieved this email a few days later.. Hello ---- On Feb 23, 2012, Westpac reported a problem with your bank account ending in 0-25. Until the issue is resolved, you cannot use this bank account with PayPal to send or receive payments, or to withdraw money. Please contact Westpac to resolve this problem. Thanks, PayPal What should I do? Has anyone had this happen? If I contact Westpac, What should I say, do you think they would actually be able to help me? The bank account number I used is correct. Really appreciate the response.

2012-02-26 00:56:00 | Agreed. I get these spam mails from time to time and I do not have a paypal a/c or a Westpac a/c so therefore I delete such emails.

2012-02-26 03:57:00 | I use Paypal all the time and when I need to withdraw funds it just takes a few days, I think it might be more the fact of what type of account your trying to transfer into, you will need to talk to your bank | gary67 (56) | |
2012-02-26 04:57:00 | Also, double-check the account number. If the account number is wrong, Westpac will bounce the transfer back to PayPal, and can result in the message you're referring to. The Westpac account you're transferring to must be a NZD account that can accept direct credit transfers (e.g. not a foreign currency account, term deposit etc).

2012-02-26 09:55:00 | I am not too sure I would be too helpful being a first post and trying to get money out of a NZ account from overseas and it is obvious to contact the bank first to find out what the problem is. | mikebartnz (21) | |
2012-02-26 10:05:00 | ...trying to get money out of a NZ account from overseas...They're actually trying to do the opposite - the OP wants to take money out of their PayPal account, and transfer it *to* their Westpac account. | Erayd (23) | |
2012-02-26 10:29:00 | They're actually trying to do the opposite - the OP wants to take money out of their PayPal account, and transfer it *to* their Westpac account. In my opinion I tried to withdraw $177 NZD to my bank account from Paypal, is not clearly worded but I am not familiar with Paypal. I would have said "I tried to transfer $177 from Paypal to my bank account.

2012-02-26 23:56:00 | You'll need to double check, I may be wrong but..... when someone wanted to pay me via paypal, there was going to be an issue with Paypal NOT allowing transfers to a NZ bank/visa a/c. so perhaps Paypal just wont transfer to a NZ bank or Credit card ?? ??
