1262233 2012-03-05 19:10:00 That's why there's USB storage ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
1262234 2012-03-05 19:19:00 The thing is, if a bunch of techies from the UK can design and churn out such a sweet device for a low cost what the hell are all the other companies doing? I mean with all their buying power, factories and apples foxconn slave labour you could make one for much less! It's estimated that the 6th gen nano is about $45 in the making yet this thing packs much more in there.

What the world is coming to, i'll never know!

Yes but a bunch of enthusiasts will not be recording the amount of hours they spent getting to a workable machine and so have know amount of accountability in $ value unlike a business that has to make money

1262235 2012-03-05 21:35:00 I want one, but will wifi be difficult to get working? I want it to stream ondemand media (as I live in England now and a lot of things are on the net). RusEvo (3572)
1262236 2012-03-05 21:40:00 No more difficult than a usual PC, why? Chilling_Silence (9)
1262237 2012-03-05 23:27:00 Sounds interesting, but it doesn't have PS/2 ports, or a hard drive, or support for sata, so useless. goodiesguy (15316)
1262238 2012-03-05 23:44:00 just a raw device at this point, but many third party's are working on a case.
I would imagine all sorts of third party add-ons being created for this.

1262239 2012-03-05 23:54:00 I think I'll stick with Arduinos.
The Raspberry Pi won't push the Arduino out as they really are two different things with the Arduino having heaps of sensor inputs but I still want a Pi too. Could probably link the two to make even more interesting things.

I can think of dozens of uses for this device. Far from useless.

Well the Windows 7 I am used to knows how to run things most of the time, but I saw on a website only 3 wifi dongles are listed as working with the RP. So I wonder if I would have a hard time finding a wifi dongle that works, and getting it to work.

It would be my introduction to linux.
