This caused Windows to re-install some drivers, and required a restart (!), but atm touch wood it all seems to be working. I bought a cheap case once (just 1 step higher than laminated tinfoil) and one of the ports had the data lines swapped. Motherboard ports can never be faulty like that unless the plug is physically broken, and that would get picked up in the factory since they actually do testing. |
