| 1261169 | 2012-02-24 21:25:00 | Shes an Icelandic rig, the crew is Icelandic, and we are deep in a forest near Taupo. I also get to live in a shipping container, also, my office is a section of a shipping container, as is the bathroom and the canteen. I get a full salary for working 6 months of the year. hey doesn't sound too bad. In the forest....quiet....pretty. Icelandic, how exotic, that's one place I would go visit... You get a bathroom and canteen.... Pay sounds alright. I'm here at 8am and finish at 7:30pm. And here Saturday too. I don't get 6 months pay for a year. Don't get a canteen either....never mind I have my snacks arranged handily on the desk....I have a nice view of other buildings... |

| 1261170 | 2012-02-24 21:32:00 | The role is not new. pressf1.pcworld.co.nz Its newish, Im nearing the end of my second shift, The first shift was extrelemy difficult, difficult on a scale I have not experienced before and I have previously held some pretty damn stressful positions. I was thrown in the deep end, then almost instantly it got far far deeper, not just for me but for all involvled, we are nearly over the initial hump but damn, its taken its toll and the road ahead is long and steep.My role in particuler has been expanding almost constantly in a bid to bridge the gaps. All good fun though it makes sleeping difficult, and Im looking at a two week break in a few days. |

Im loving it, 7 years it has taken to get to this point, I'm busy doing work I enjoy, My contribution carries weight and is sought, We have made a difference. all the food is laid on, I have my own room with onsuite, They make my bed, clean my room, do my laundry.Do my dishes. I manage my own time and workload, I get well paid, and I work half a year. muhahahahahahaha And I'm about to ask them to supply me with a sager laptop to relect the extra workload I have taken on. After this project is finished (provided I don't mess up) I can seek similar roles with twice the pay packet. |

I started off a safety meeting the other day by asking for one minute of silence, as I had just eaten lunch and I was struggling to digest the 3 helpings of custard square.
