Aside from that Germans love metal, That festival has been running for 22 years, and draws the biggest names from all over Europe and America. Waken in itself is a huge part of metal folklore. Germans are the worlds biggest metalheads, even if their own output is mostly unknown.....and German. They also love Rose Tattoo. Come to think of it, I'm from German stock. |

I'm not great at names or that huge of a fan but even I can come up with; Scorpions (I think) Accept Warlock / Doro Helloween Hammerfall Rammstein To name just the ones in my collection I remember off the top of my head, I'm sure there are a lot more. |

| 1262073 | 2012-02-29 21:27:00 | Forgot Gamma Ray, have a couple of theirs also. Always thought Helloween, Hammerfall, and Gamma Ray were pretty much interchangeable sound/ style wise. Think they have some musicians in common also. |

Aren't Hammerfall from Sweden?? Another German metal band I am quite fond of is Megaherz - Gott Sein (www.youtube.com) - fantastic track, very similar to Rammstein. |
