26871 2001-12-07 22:13:00 Hi

I have a 3 month old PC Company desk top.

The num lock light turns on by default when the machine is started and stays on when the machine is turned off.

I would prefer to have the num lock light stay off as the default.

Can anyone help me.

Thanks

26873 2001-12-07 23:20:00 Okay, first of all, you have to tell me why you want it off. Who ever wants it off?

It is a major pain, ever since the invention of the extended 101-key version of the keyboard, there is no rational explanation for the need for num lock.

Anyone have any suggestions on this?

Robo.

And while were on the subject
'Why do telephone keypads and calc\comp keyboards a have the number keypads in reverse order??
