Didn't know much about scanners when I bought my PC so just went for the Acer 4300U that was part of the package. It scans in photos okay, but I keep getting this message when I try to save the images: 'An error occurred while setting scanner preferences. If the scanner is being used, please wait for it to complete the task and then try again.' Doesn't do it all the time, but enough times to irritate me! Nothing I do seems to work, even closing everything and restarting. Then another time I use it, it does everything perfectly. Anyone else had this problem? Any advice welcomed - including which scanner I should have bought! |
