| 26808 | 2001-12-07 07:53:00 | hello, Im running Windows 98 and when I select shutdown from the menu, the computer goes through the shut down screen - pauses for about 5 seconds and then starts up again. Please help guys. Thanku |

| 26809 | 2001-12-07 08:39:00 | firstly go to windows update and download/install any updates. also check in bios for an option along the lines of 'resume after power failure'. turn it off. that way if the pc does a bad shutdown it won't reboot back on again. | Guest (0) | ||
| 26810 | 2001-12-07 11:40:00 | Hi, This was happening to one of my friends, what componentry are you using, and how long has it been happening, yes tweak'e is onto it, check bios over thouroughly, restore defaults (and fail safe settings if you have them). Flash your bios, and if you still have problems, give me a quick run over your system specs... My friend had some kind of hardware clash if I remember rightly, I'll check it out with him... Erin |
