| 27049 | 2001-12-09 00:36:00 | im keen to try linux, but where to start.Heaps of info on the web but i am looking for real basic newbie stuff. i dont know much about dual booting etc. can anybody suggest a good info source that starts right at the beginning? thanx |

That should show my posting of 27/10/01. Click on that. The 'Getting started' guide is good; so are the books -- try your public library. |

| 27052 | 2001-12-09 06:58:00 | There is heaps of stuff on the web and lots of books - my suggestion based on my own experience is to buy a book (e.g. 'Using RedHat Linux' QUE) which will come with the OS on CD - work through the book with the same distribution and version installed - a good way to avoid heaps of frustration!! | Guest (0) | ||
