26956 2001-12-08 04:36:00 I just did a clean installation for win XP (HOME EDITITON) on my pc(athlon 1
GHZ, 128 Ram) and everything it seems fine except for restarting and shutting down my pc. everytime when it gets to the window is shutting down screen it always freezes. anyone can help me?

26957 2001-12-11 05:11:00 I had same problem, google has good help items for the problem. Mine was caused by modem problems, I resorted to win 2k driver as opposed to xp, worked for me, but maybe i was lucky. Guest (0)
26958 2001-12-12 20:23:00 I Have WinXP Home that worked fine until I installed Norton Antivirus 2002 which is sposed to be the compatible version. Compter locked on shut down. Some apps refused to open. Uninstalled Norton and everything OK. Hope this helps. Guest (0)
