How can i find out what RAM i have and if the newer RAM avalable will be stable in an older system.
Is there any software programes to evaluate this.

27223 2001-12-10 14:39:00 You will probably have some 72pin slots and maybe 1 or 2 168pin slots. Problem is your motherboard may only recognise up to 32mb chips due to its age. You will need to get a hold of your motherboard manual to find out what slots it has and how much RAM it supports. Guest (0)
27224 2001-12-10 20:42:00 It is unlikely that new RAM will work in your system, but to find out what kind of RAM you've got, if you don't have your manual, there is a utility called SiSoft Sandra that can run diagnostics on all sorts of bits in your computer, including your RAM, and it'll tell you what kind of RAM your computer will take etc. Search for it at www.downloads.com or do a Google search for it.
