27127	2001-12-09 10:07:00	We are configuring a comp. for my son and have settled on most of the specs, but having a little trouble rescearching Geforce2 Video cards. I appreciate there is little to distinguish various brands of the same spec. but are not sure of the different performance of different models. ie 32Mb DDR v 64 Mb SD cards etc. Can anyone point us in the right direction regards best performance and best value? 27128	2001-12-09 11:58:00	could do with a little more info on the computer, what you are designing it to do, cpu type /speed and budget for video card. personal i would go for the geforce2 gts. general speaking ddr is faster than sdram, 64 is faster than 32. and from slowest to fastest is mx200, mx400, gts, gtspro. 27129	2001-12-09 19:26:00	Thanks tweak? that slowest to fastest list was what I was after. We're making up a box with an AMD processor around 1.0Gig more or less. The budget is limited, so we are consentrating on a decent M/B with potential to upgrade later, plus a vid card of as high a standard as the budget will stand. A pretty much standard H/D( to become a secondary drive to a better one later). Everything else to be upgraded after graduation and the new job!	Guest (0)
