| 27169 | 2001-12-10 03:33:00 | My friends mouse wont work he runs win 95 and gets a message at startup that there is no mouse we have done the obvious changed the mouse and the mouse socket and ribbon in the computer.Also we moved his hard drive to my computer where the mouse ran fine.Any suggestions would be appreciated,thanks Dave | Guest (0) | ||
| 27170 | 2001-12-10 18:36:00 | It must be a serial mouse if you changed the ribbon cable. Check in device manager to see if Com1 and Com2 are working, (they could be disabled in your bios) the serial mouse will need one of them. Also disable PS2 mouse in the bios, if it is a serial mouse. Also try searching for new hardware, in add /remove hardware, a little difficult without a mouse, but possible. |
