I have installed a 3com 3c509tp net work card on computer number 2 and used the 3com etherlink disks to set it up but when I connect with computer number 1 I get a lock up on computer number 2 after about 30 seconds. Network neighbourhood shows both computers and I can occasionally access files through the network but computer number 2 allways hangs up. Any help apreciated |

A mate of mine had trouble with his networking with it crashing within seconds or minutes of accessing the other computer. He used a newer computer on an older computer but this wasn't his problem. The problem was his computer was generating a lot of EMI which made his TV play up so it was annoying me when I was trying to watch the discovery channel. It was also annoying him when he couldn't transfer data to and from his computer. I told him he should get a new, bigger and better TV but in the end we replaced the computer. This may not be in your case but I would suggest changing the case or power supply instead of buying a newe computer but only if it's hard to watch the discovery channel. |
