27613 2001-12-15 05:43:00 This afternoon I did a Port Scan on this PC, here is the result of Port 110

POP3 Mail Server Port
This port is not being blocked, but there is no program currently accepting connections on this port.

So, why am I getting this message on NAV when Selecting Email Protection to ON.

NAV is unable to start Email protection, Please ensure TCP/IP is Installed and Port 110 is available.

27614 2001-12-15 08:36:00 How did you do the port scan? The Gibson Research site www.grc.com Shields Up can also test your ports and tell you how to close the unnecessary ones. Guest (0)
27615 2001-12-15 10:22:00 I use to get that error before.

My reason was I didn't have Dial-up adapter installed and there was no TCP/IP protocol since it wasn't connected to the internet.

But since you got on the net somehow I guess this isn't the same problem.
