27514 2001-12-13 10:26:00 I tried a fdisk & format with 98 boot up disk and the system would then have problems reading floppy drive? To rectify I had to hold the desktop pc on a 45 degree angle(which seemed to work)?? Any ideas, maybe BIOS needs updating? Old machine p133mhz, 80mb ram. Guest (0)
27515 2001-12-13 18:25:00 The problem seems more likely to be mecanical, A drive is probably on the way out.

Check A drive cables are firmly in, no bent pins.

I've used 98 startup in 486's without any probs.

Cheers
