| 27514 | 2001-12-13 10:26:00 | I tried a fdisk & format with 98 boot up disk and the system would then have problems reading floppy drive? To rectify I had to hold the desktop pc on a 45 degree angle(which seemed to work)?? Any ideas, maybe BIOS needs updating? Old machine p133mhz, 80mb ram. | Guest (0) | ||
| 27515 | 2001-12-13 18:25:00 | The problem seems more likely to be mecanical, A drive is probably on the way out. Check A drive cables are firmly in, no bent pins. I've used 98 startup in 486's without any probs. |

| 27516 | 2001-12-13 20:13:00 | No, after struggling to boot up(when I finally did) in dos, I re fdisked and formatted in FAT16, everything is fine now; Runs well with win95; I wanted win98! Cheers ??? |
