27696 2001-12-16 08:15:00 is it possiable to share a jetstart connection on a normal LAN(2 NICs maybe 3 later, a hub, 10/100mbps)
without any flash Routers/internet server thingys.

27697 2001-12-16 09:25:00 As long as the 2 computers can talk to each other, yes. I do it using Proxy+ which is a free proxy server. Works well. Guest (0)
27698 2001-12-17 11:43:00 Sure can. It's easiest I believe if you use an external ADSL router (often erroneously called ADSL modems), but with a bit of trickery it can be done with an internal.
The big disadvantage with having an internal router is that the PC the router is installed in has to be on whenever internet access is required by any other PC.
I have a Nokia Ni500 on an EtherNet LAN shared between three PCs and it all very well. I use a 10/100 Nway Switch rather than a Hub, but either will work.
