| 27687 | 2001-12-16 05:17:00 | Gidday, Have HP 6615 win98se with 2 128mb ram installed, works fine, I'm thinking of installing another 64mb in the third slot which originally came with the computer, but it has a diffrent manufacterer, than than the ones installed. Are there any known problems when installing two diffrent maunfacterers of Ram? Thanks, Bob |

| 27689 | 2001-12-16 07:44:00 | The only major problems that can occur are when two sticks of ram with different speeds are installed i.e pc100 and pc133 ram wont run together even though they will physically fit in the same slots | Guest (0) | ||
| 27690 | 2001-12-16 08:40:00 | as the ram is bought at different times there is no way of getting the exact same ram again, so it will make little difference what manafacture it comes from. just be aware there may be incompatabilities. there is no easy way to tell what ram is compatable with another. pc100 ram and pc133 ram will work together fine as long as its on a 100mhz fsb board. |
