28042 2001-12-19 10:12:00 are there any firms to help in transfer of music from LP's to CD's or how to do it if you have a record player and a CD-R machine? Guest (0)

28044 2001-12-20 02:21:00 Thre is no problem with this provided that you have a record player and amplifier witha tape output and you have a computer sound card with a line input. You may have to make up a cable with RCA connectors at one end and a stereo phone plug at the other. (it may be possible to buy one made up).
Just connect up and use the software that came with your sound card or with your cd-r recorder. The Adaptec is easy to use.

28045 2001-12-20 04:29:00 If all else fails, dbpoweramp with it's auxiliary input plug-in will do the trick.

First download dbpoweramp misicconverter. Then download the auxiliary input plug in (both available at www.dbpoweramp.com Then install the two programs. They both come with excellent help manuals with step-by-step instructions including what to plug in where.

The programs are small - 1-2mb and so won't take long to download.

Once you have all your tracks saved on your hard-drive as .wav files it is a simple process to write them using your cd burning software. Note that you must make an audio cd, and close the cd at the end if you want it to work in your home stereo. Also some older stereos may not like cd-rw disks or some types of cd-r's it is trial and error to see which work in yours. usually the bigger the name, and the higher the price, the better the disk, although not always.

happy recording.

I think the final character '!' should be a '/'

Happy Christmas everyone.
