In Netscape communicator you can configure the type of receipt by going to Edit, Preferences, and selecting Return receipts under the mail and newsgroups category. When you want to request a receipt, click the message sending options tab in the new message and check the Return Receipt box. |

You could try using .confirm.to send your email to the recipients normal email address say joebloggs@somewhere.co.nz and add .confirm.to after the email address - ie joebloggs@somewhere.co.nz.confim.to You will receive an email when the message has been opened, but the recipient will not know you are being notified There are some restrictions - Confirm.to service is FREE up to 30 credits for everyone with an email address. More details at http://www.confirm.to If you are happy for the recipient to know you are requesting a confirmation of receipt, in outlook, write your message but before sending it, go to options and click on 'Request a read receipt for this message' In Outlook express write your message and click on 'tools' > request read receipt before sending it |
