| 27872 | 2001-12-18 11:25:00 | Hiya *** QMGR *** This program is the Microsoft MSN query manager, used with the chat program MSN Messenger. Disabling it from startup will not harm the software. In fact, it will free up some of your computer's resources. Either go start, run and type msconfig, then from MSConfig's startup tab you can simply untick the box next to loadqm.exe. OR set Zonalarm to not allow it access (red X) You can read more by searching previous Press F1 posts (search box at the top of main page) or by looking here: www.virusstriker.com *** WNAD *** This is an AdWare program which gets installed when the 'Yo Mama, Osama!' game is installed. It is a memory resident application which periodically connects to a webserver to download and display pop-up window advertisements. It creates a registry run key to load itself at startup and does not uninstall itself. Take a look here to see how to get rid of it: vil.mcafee.com Its not a virus, just a pain in the a** AND, someone in another post said ZoneAlarm was no good.... well if you didn't have it you wouldn't have known about these, and in knowing, we all learn :) Jester |
