And there's never been a better time to do it: RAM prices are amazingly low (about $25 for 128MB at press time)

I would like to now where i can get ram at this price,Ive been surfing the net but have not seen any price that comes close to $25.00.

28375 2001-12-23 00:41:00 Hi, I haven't seen any THAT cheap, however, Dick Smith sell 128mb for $49. Guest (0)
28376 2001-12-23 01:13:00 Stan M is an American. And he lives in the USA. I'm sure he can find memory at $US25 for 128MB. I'm surprised that DSE have it at a comparable price. Guest (0)

28378 2001-12-23 02:14:00 $25 for 128mb ram for the Americans is getting pricey!!

Paying $49 in NZ is still jolly cheap - back in September last year it was more like $490!!!

Go buy some now, it makes a HUGE difference if you've currently only got 32mb like I did before I installed an extra 128mb. No need for a new PC for a bit longer yet!

28379 2001-12-23 02:15:00 While ago, I saw a shop in the city with the price tag as $20+gst forgot who they were but I didn't need any more, so didn't get any. Guest (0)
28380 2001-12-23 02:43:00 Hi Piet,

you will need to know someone in the industry to get a price like that. Retail prices will be around the $40 mark.

28381 2001-12-24 01:32:00 Just looking at some stuff here, I can't seem to find the shop which sold them at $20+gst, but now its actually quite cheap getting a 256mb one. only if you're motherboard can't take this size, I would suggest to go for 128, because I've just seen many shop with a price tag of $49+gst for the 256 ram.
