| 28287 | 2001-12-21 23:07:00 | 200 MMX, with 64ram, running Windows ME. On boot I receieve the following error Message. 'Windows encountered an error accessing the registry' 'Windows will repair the registry for you and restart the computer'. This continues to happen when windows restarts following the presumed repair. I have done a system restore from safe back at least three days and it still continues. I have also run the registry checker fron the accessories menu and I have completely reinstalled windows from the cd, all to no avail. How do I rectify the problem?? Many thanks. |

Once I've worked out which files were corrupted and replaced them from the win98 CDROM but twice I've simply over-installed windows. Windows remembers your previous settings/desktop etc (well at least with 98, I see no reason why they would change this). There is no need to format in my experience. | Guest (0) | ||
