| 28564 | 2001-12-25 23:09:00 | This is a strange one that I have never encountered before, from using Windows 95 / 98se to ME. The problem is that after installing Windows XP it seems to run OK for a couple of weeks and then for no reason I cannot access the dial-up network connection. If Ii click on the icon, it does nothing for exactly 1 minute and 40 seconds and then seems to release itself and dial out as per normal? Making a new dial-up connection does not fix the problem either as even the 'Network Connections' is unavailable for 1 minute and 40 seconds? It just freezes. Although not a major problem is is a bit of a pain really. No new program installations have been made which would cause this problem. Strange one don't you think? What could be causing this? |

Right click My Computer and click Manage. You will then see the Event Log container in the Management Console. Open it to view the errors. Any relevant messages are likley to be in the system log. |
