| 28542 | 2001-12-25 07:35:00 | I cannot get the MS Fax program to whistle or handshake when sending outwards faxes. It dials out Ok, then remains silent and does not respond to calls from the far away machine. Ive looked over the obvious user selected options (though I have not filled in my Fax header details) but it make no difference. I never receive inbound faxes Thanks.....John jhw@xtra.co.nz |

| 28543 | 2001-12-26 04:27:00 | Hi John,the fax program isn't the one doing the whistling,it's the modem that does that,however you don't actually have to hear it.Some faxes are silent,however I don't think yours is one of those.I think you may have a faulty modem,or perhaps faulty drivers.See if you can change modems if possible and see what happens. hope that is some help Peter |
