| 28401 | 2001-12-23 04:54:00 | hi, well, i downloaded windows XP from edonkey, long ago even before october 25th or 26th(hey, look! p2p) it was ISO, and it had readme1st.txt file in it, it said that, it was cracked, and has PRO ver, and Home ver with booting, cracked and so on.. :p so i just used Nero to burn the ISO into my normal CDR(650MB) it all worked fine, when i wanted to install PRO, i just had to let the CD boot, and for HOME ver, i had to go to folder called 'HOME' the real surprise was that, the CD shows that it is only '560' MBs and no space left, but if i drag the all the files and right clicked properties, it was over 1000MBS !!!(yeah, PRO and HOME) what the heck.. ?? is this SUPER compression or what??? and about 4 month ago, i donwloaded win2k pro from warez site, which was only 900KB !!!!!!! i thought it was some hoax, or virus, but it took me over 10min to uncompress one with winzip, called win2kpro.ISO(330Mbs), i burn this file into my CDR and worked fine...no bugs or virus stuff wow.. 0.9MBs to 330MBs !!! hey, can ANYONE please EXPLAIN, how this can happen ? and if possible, why dont they compress everything into small files ? i see most compressed zip files are about 2 or 3 times smaller, but thats all... never thought about over 100 times smaller.... |

As for win2k in 900k, are you sure its not the /dev/zero edition. |

I wouldn't be surprised if MS request your IP address from the Press F1 crew. You didn't need to tell anyone WHAT files were over 1GB but you had to show off didn't you? | Guest (0) | ||
