28571 2001-12-26 01:32:00 Hi there, as you may have read in my previous posts, my computer has gone down, which whilst not being too worrying, i do need to get a file off it before I leave on the 28th December. Can someone please tell me the easiest way I could do this?

Thanks alot,
Jonathan Giles

28572 2001-12-26 02:04:00 Whip the Drive out and hook it up to another machine and get your file off. Better if the other machine has XP due to the NTFS file system. Quickest way would be take it to your local Computershop and they should do it in 1/4hr. Guest (0)
28573 2001-12-26 10:42:00 There are a few freeware programs that will allow you to read NTFS from a FAT32 drive, and copy files from the NTFS to the FAT32 (but not the other way with the free versions...)

do a search at downloads.com and something should come up.
