Before travelling overseas I exported my Outlook folders to my laptop. On returning I tried to reimport them to my PC, but Microsoft tells me I do not have permission to open the file. Can anyone tell me how to overcome this hurdle please? |

Is this on Win 7? and which version of Outlook. Sounds to me like you might need to take ownership of the file |

Are you running with admin rights? As I said you might need to take ownership of the file |

Yes I am administrator. Don't know how to "take ownership" of file. Have made this transfer between pc and laptop many times before without any problem. I am the only user of both. |

Did you by any chance copy this PST file to another location? That may change the file attribute. Right click the file and choose properties and try playing around with it.
IME with Outlook with a older version. |
