1263399 2012-03-08 08:47:00 All they really needed to do to sell the maximum number of them is say "iPad 3 - Makes angry birds angrier".its not the ipad3, its the new ipad plod (107)
1263400 2012-03-08 19:01:00 I see nVidia has called them out on their "We're 4X faster than the Tegra3". But wait a second, the Tegra3 has over twice as many CPU cores vs your undefined clock speed, and it also has 3x the number of GPU cores... Chilling_Silence (9)
1263401 2012-03-08 20:49:00 I see nVidia has called them out on their "We're 4X faster than the Tegra3". But wait a second, the Tegra3 has over twice as many CPU cores vs your undefined clock speed, and it also has 3x the number of GPU cores...True, but we also know that a speed triple will leave most V8's for dust. I was hoping you were going to post a link to the benchmarks you had. plod (107)

1263403 2012-03-09 00:13:00 Wish I had some, I'm eagerly awaiting them ...Although you are probably right, I presumed you had benchmarked the new ipad along with the tegras to lay such a claim:D plod (107)
1263404 2012-03-09 02:34:00 No that wasn't me, it was Apple who did it. I'm not laying any further claim, just pointing out that logically speaking (until they provide hard benchmarking proof) it doesn't make sense. Chilling_Silence (9)
1263405 2012-03-09 06:58:00 Bahahaahahaha so good :D

Still trumped by the Tegra2 in terms of CPU / GPUs.
The Tegra 3 on the Prime has a 5-core CPU and a 12-core GPU.

Screen is nice though, and I'm sure it'll be nice for Apple people to be able to share photos with more than just Twitter now :pI thought the above was claim

1263406 2012-03-09 08:49:00 No that was an observation on the raw number of cores, that's all :-) Chilling_Silence (9)
1263407 2012-03-09 08:54:00 No that was an observation on the raw number of cores, that's all :-)Well I thought you would know better, the amount of cylinders doesn't always equate to more horsepower, although it might. plod (107)
1263408 2012-03-09 09:00:00 Of course, as amd proved back some 10 years ago with the Ghz race and their use of "1800+", and similar names. However not even AMD would take a processor with half the raw CPU clock cycles and claim it was "4X faster", for a total of 8X the performance improvement. That's outrageous from a hardware standard if you ask me! That said, its still *technically* possible, though I'm eagerly awaiting some cold hard evidence to back up these claims.
