| 1263390 | 2012-03-07 20:18:00 | Bahahaahahaha so good :D Still trumped by the Tegra2 in terms of CPU / GPUs. The Tegra 3 on the Prime has a 5-core CPU and a 12-core GPU. Screen is nice though, and I'm sure it'll be nice for Apple people to be able to share photos with more than just Twitter now :p |

New iPad = Dual-Core (Presumably 1Ghz or 1.2Ghz, similar to the A5?) with 4-core GPU Original Transformer TF101 = Tegra 2 with Dual-Core 1.2Ghz with 8-core GPU Transformer Prime = Tegra 3 with Quad-Core 1.3Ghz CPU, an additional 5th Low-power "companion" core, and a 12-core GPU So lets even give it the benefit of the doubt and say they've bumped up the A5X to 1.3Ghz, and then everybody knows that just like megapixels aren't the "be all and end all" of photo quality, the GPU cores don't specifically equate to faster processing for games... It's still only playing catch up to a device that's now 3 generations old, considering the Transformer Infinity will be released very shortly too (So Infinity is current, Prime being the second generation, Original being 3rd generation old). Only thing that's really "top of the line" is the screen. |
