I sense a bias from your quarter, so it is hard to say in your case if you have made the right decision.Of course Metla has made the right decision, but so have I. The majority of this forum would never consider it, I have paid a premium for it with no regrets. I dont feel the so called premium was much anyway unless you are comparing to a self built, or custom made setup. I'm talking about macs in general, not laptops. |

When you actually bother to look at the specs and build quality of macs they arent actually bad value for money at all, yeah you can buy HP, Dell or most mainstream brands cheaper but will it last you as long? Hold it's value better? IMO you should look at laptops case by case but shouldnt bash a brand around just because there is some hate around it for whatever reason (unless they are genuinely **** laptops e.g build quality sucks 50% of the time, or you have personal preference which you shouldnt have to go shoving down other peoples throats). | icow (15313) | ||

Of course I have made the right decision, Apples don't do it for me, Hence I don't buy them. The numbers sold are pointless, 100's of millions more have bought Windows based systems. It has zero bearing on my purchase. I buy windows machines because thats the platform the programs I want to run are on, I don't care in the slightest what branding is on the OS, It needs to work and stay the hell out of the way. After that its grunt per dollar, with some consideration given to screen size and resolution. I don't care about battery life, heft or heat, I want her to suck up that juice and nuke my nuts. |
