1285917 2012-07-05 00:23:00 I just love what one guy posted on that site:

You'd have thought that CISCO would have heard of the internet and how it enables people to tell the world that a big company is acting like a dick.

EDIT:

Also, unless I am missing something, isn't this feature a total fail?

If you have to manage your router setting through a cloud service, what happens if you changed a setting wrong and you can't connect to the internet?

How do you connect to the cloud to change it back if you have no internet connection?

Exactly and the fact that the majority of the time it is set and forget.

1285919 2012-07-05 04:19:00 I have 3 Cisco Linksys routers, no trouble with any of them, except that one is a little weak on the wireless. mzee (3324)
1285920 2012-07-05 05:03:00 The stupid thing about cloud is what about offline? Now I'm sure it will be easy enough to spoof the cloud and end up with a utility like airport config for windows but like airport I see some issues. The Airport timecapsule extreme that I am using will not connect with the utility on windows properly until the SMB/workgroups etc have been setup. I can't even configure it, just terminates with E -4 The Error Guy (14052)
1285921 2012-07-05 05:18:00 For once I am actually glad to have my Thomson Speedtouch and its horrible and buggy firmware. Agent_24 (57)
1285922 2012-07-05 12:17:00 I have a Linksys Router, but it's running very well. Marvin Barrett (16723)
1285923 2012-07-05 15:28:00 It's only going to be for newer specific models, not the be-all and end-all of civilization as we know it.... Chilling_Silence (9)

But they are still "a big company is acting like a dick"
