1285724 2012-07-04 06:46:00 Does anyone think I should just buy it on steam? Tplw9 (16484)
1285725 2012-07-04 06:54:00 If you got it from a shop, and it wont install take it back. And tell them it wont install Speedy Gonzales (78)
1285726 2012-07-04 07:26:00 Every program/resource that arma II depends on is up to date Tplw9 (16484)
1285727 2012-07-04 07:44:00 Well, I would send the guys who made it an email (www.bistudio.com). Tell them what the prob is, and how to fix it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1285728 2012-07-04 09:56:00 Try installing arma 2 free and see what happens, it shoudnt work as onboard gpus dont support shader model 3 which is required to run. I dont even think arma 1 would work. stratex5 (16685)
1285729 2012-07-04 10:33:00 Its not an onboard it's integrated there's a difference!!! Tplw9 (16484)
1285730 2012-07-04 10:42:00 no there isnt GameJunkie (72)
1285731 2012-07-04 10:42:00 Firstly settle down then tell me, do you know if the 'integrated' graphics support shader model 3? If you dont know, test it with the free version from:

www.arma2.com

1285732 2012-07-04 12:55:00 It makes NO difference what video card or integrated graphics processor you have.

The game will still install, it just won't work, if the GPU is not fast enough.

Only a game that detects hardware first and would then refuse to install on the grounds that the hardware would be too slow would be stopped from installing on slow hardware, but in this case it's crashing, so that won't be the situation.

Clearly there is some other issue affecting the installation.

1285733 2012-07-04 19:43:00 Yes i tried the setup on 2 different pcs, one with onboard and one with dedicated, it only worked on the dedicated because it was the only one that supported shader model 3. The other pc was 5yrs newer. stratex5 (16685)
