| 1263186 | 2012-03-05 21:48:00 | lol, Got a phone call and a person at the door for surveys today. So annoying. That's why I don't have door bells, and won't open the doors when someone is knocking. |

It screens all those calls out, they just hang up :p I gave up talking to these people after spending 5minutes answering their 'survey' questions only to have them try & sell their product to me at the end of the 'survey' .A bit like scientologists 'surveys' |

| 1263190 | 2012-03-06 04:16:00 | I've lost all patience for this stuff, and am very abrupt with them, and will simply cut off the call if they don't take "not interested" as a final answer. It's not helped by the fact that I've got a semi-senile geriatric in the house, and these things just stress and confuse her further. |

| 1263191 | 2012-03-06 07:16:00 | I get shitty with them as we are unlisted and they are not meant to ring us. I had the HRV girl today because 2 years ago SWMBO expressed an interest. I told her we had just put the house on the market and were moving away that worked | gary67 (56) | ||

There used to be an outfit where you could register your number to stop this cold calling but I don't think it exists anymore. |

| 1263195 | 2012-03-07 03:55:00 | Do Not Phone: www.marketing.org.nz Do Not Mail: www.marketing.org.nz I've had so many run-ins with the rouges at HRV. Once again last month I had them ring and arrange an 'appointment' with the semi-senile one here. Once again I had to deal with it. This time I rang the local branch (after previously telling 3 of their reps on the property to NEVER call us again, and after telling numerous of their cold-callers to never call again). The call got diverted to Auckland, where, luckily it got answered by a guy who actually seemed to care. He gave me the above sites (although the process looks suspect) where 'reputable' marketeers will respect your choice to 'opt out'. The list they compile there could well be used to harvest even more names, numbers and addresses. However, after completing the registration process I'm glad to report there's been no garbage phone calls since. Pity the door-to-door guys don't do the same... and the various people pushing their religeons. Back to my gripes about HRV staff. When I told the first salesman here I'd sooner have a heat pump he responded: "How can you do that unless you've got a bank manager up your ar5e?" I was busy telling him where to go on his second visit, and he was standing his ground saying "No I'm here for an appointment". I told him to tell his office never to call here again and he said "No, I'm busy. I've got appointments". A forth caller to the house stood her ground and went through her spiel despite me repeatedly pointing to the door and asking her to leave. These swine are only in it for a fast buck, and they have zero respect for the people they're hounding for business. There's zero ethics evident in the call centres and in the local sales team. I hope to NEVER do business with HRV, or the electrical contractors that are supporting their business. If I had a gun they'd be limping back to their vehicle! |
