| 1262933 | 2012-03-04 22:01:00 | Yes it's the "could have" not "could of" thing. It bugs me ever since I was corrected on it many years ago. Like a lot of errors it stems from what we think we hear people say rather than from what we've been taught. The contracted "could've, would've, should've" sounds very much like "could of, would of, should of" so that's what people mistake it for. Not really relevant to 8 yr old drivers though. |
