| 1262872 | 2012-03-05 03:42:00 | Fee for what exactly I persist.... Because it's the banks policy he says very loudly and impatiently. But it's for what exactly I say? You cant really expect him to justify the banks fees & charges. Its not his place to do so. Banks are there to make money, they do that by charging lots of $$ for every simple thing |

Banks are there to make money, they do that by charging lots of $$ for every simple thing Justification and explaining what the charge is for are two different things... Imagine you want me to fix your PC. I determine it needs a new CPU and want to charge you $250. You ask why, I refuse to tell you the reason and the fault and just say YOU MUST PAY $250. In that situation I expect you'd be wondering what was going on too... |

| 1262874 | 2012-03-05 05:34:00 | Because it's the banks policy he says very loudly and impatiently. Most front line types learn this early on in the piece. "Because it's policy" is designed to stop most awkward customers in their tracks. It is designed to install awe, that this unchallengeable edict has been brought down from the mountain engraved in slabs of stone with the appropriate (or inappropriate) policy. Most people buckle under submissively at this stage. Policy making 101, truths: * Policies are formulated by a person or persons. * If that policy is proving unworkable or not in the best interests of the company - or a heretical concept, its customers - then the policy makers should rescind that policy. * A policy should be never be cast in stone, it should be flexible to reflect the changing needs of both company and its customers. Try throwing a few of these challenges back. Assuming you are talking to someone with reasonable intelligence and understand these concepts, at least when they realise they have no answer you may sow the seeds of rebellion. Workers arise! :2cents: |

Or the CEO needs a new holiday house in Switzerland fee. Or whatever.....the point was he just kept screaming, it's the fee, the fee....like a psycho. Geez..... Also he told me it was $50 - he was wrong - it's $250. |
