1285714 2012-07-03 12:10:00 Hey guys and gals,
I recently got ArmA II retail for my pc. When I try to install it it copies the files from the disk to my computer then tries to extract the files which are in a .srep file. It extracts to 35% then fails. System:
APU: AMD A4-3400
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-A55M ds something
(CPU/APU has inbuilt graphics)

1285715 2012-07-03 12:32:00 Fails in what way? Slankydudl (16687)
1285716 2012-07-03 20:30:00 Srep.exe has stopped working (srep.exe is the program it uses to extract the .srep archive) Tplw9 (16484)
1285717 2012-07-04 04:34:00 Arma II requires a dediated gpu, not just onboard because it requires shader model 3. what extraction wizard are you using? stratex5 (16685)
1285718 2012-07-04 04:39:00 Can you post a pic o the files? stratex5 (16685)
1285719 2012-07-04 06:16:00 My CPU has an inbuilt GPU Tplw9 (16484)
1285720 2012-07-04 06:22:00 yes but what he is sayign is that you need a dedicated gpu... a cpu's gpu is not really a gpu. Slankydudl (16687)
1285721 2012-07-04 06:24:00 Thanks guys I was thinking of buying a gpu anyway. Tplw9 (16484)
1285722 2012-07-04 06:37:00 The 6410g (Intergrated GPU in your CPU) shouldn't cause the install to fail. IMO it would probably handle arma 2 at lower settings. icow (15313)
1285723 2012-07-04 06:44:00 Unless it needs something like .net framework (and whatever version isnt installed - depending on the version of windows) Speedy Gonzales (78)
