1284970 2012-07-01 06:28:00 Should be pretty simple - Isn't there an option to select language when preforming the initial setup? Nick G (16709)
1284971 2012-07-01 06:30:00 Language is very easy to set since it's all software, at the very hardest it will be a format/reinstall using a clean ENG win7 disk, which is kinda reccommended anyway to get rid of crapware on the PC's.

The hardest part will be the keyboard which most likely have Korean/ENG characters printed on it. The actual keyboard is fine for english use but the alternate characters may confuse

1284973 2012-07-01 07:44:00 They keybaords are usually standard QWERTY KB's and the default is usually eng keys with the special characters superscripted. Since that's hardware, that will be your biggest issue. That being said, some KB's in korea are ENG only, I believe they can be an option. The Error Guy (14052)
1284974 2012-07-01 07:45:00 I've seen non QWERTY in France, a friend's laptop was confusing :p Cos the letters were in different places. Nomad (952)
1284975 2012-07-01 22:53:00 It depends quite a bit on what OS you're using. With XP you should be able to change the language settings without much hassle ... but with Win 7 you need to purchase language packs, unless it's the Ultimate version ... HERE (windows.microsoft.com)

Vista HERE (windows.microsoft.com) ... but can't see the language options at first glance.

And I have to agree with error guy ... do a clean install ... we have international students staying with us quite often and their computers are riddled with every sort of crap you can imagine. QQ is quite common and the Chinese equivalent of MSN Messenger but has an auto upload feature that chews through bandwidth like you've never seen ...

1284976 2012-07-01 23:25:00 I doubt it would have XP on it :p But .. XP generally only translates between Western languages if you want English. If it was a Eastern language you tend to need a enterprise edition.

windows.microsoft.com

If it is Win7 or Vista you don't need the CD but you need Ultimate or Enterprise edition and can download the extra languages thru Windows Update.

Windows 7

Ha! Probably uploads all the files on your HDD to some government server in China...
